Symmetric Face is a solo project of Alexey Taroutz from Moscow and this is his debut release.
His music is an interesting example of electroacoustic sound sculpture created by manipulating and processing analogue sound sources.
To create this record I used analogue devices and computer - says the artist.
The sound itself is important for me - the effect it produces on the listener - so it doesn't matter what equipment I use. Sometimes I use only analogue gear or a computer. But It's more interesting for me to mix both.
The concept is very important as well - the idea comes first. After I get the idea of what I want to depict - I start working on the ways of achieving and creating the final image.
Alexey Taroutz is also a member of progressive/post-rock/art-core instrumental band I Am Above On The Left.
