KMTR - Almatinka [tng1030]

AudioTong goes eastwards again. This time the destination is the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan, where this EP has been created.

KMTR is Konstantin Timoshenko (33 y.o.), a proffessional drummer and music producer, organizer and curator of Replica Festival in Almaty, member of many projects (most of which you've probably never heard of, but which you definitely should check), including Les Enfants De Paris, Pop's Machine, Sample Brothers and others.

Almatinka EP comes as a debut release from his more ambient/IDM/avant-pop project KMTR. The five tracks show him as a great producer with absolutely astonishing ideas.

These are very dense, athmosheric songs, very cinematic and spacious. The Russian voice samples and vocals by Timur Isaliev make it even more unusual and original.

This release comes as a preview of a full album which should be available from AudioTong on CD early next year. So download and get ready for more soon.
