Patryk Lichota / Piotr Tkacz - Some Other Time?

Electroacoustic improvisation is still not a very common kind of music you might expect to hear in Poland. Especially from Polish musicians. To find out about the duo of Patryk Lichota and Piotr Tkacz was quite a nice surprise for us. Even more as this recordings are really good!

Three improvised tracks recorded on one night back in December 2008 - now available for free download in mp3's and lossless .flac files. Enjoy!

Process & Lisa Ullen - Live in Krakow

The newest AudioTong release comes as a part of the Live Collection. It is a recording of improvised concert performed in Krakow by famous Swedish pianist, Lisa Ullen, together with local improvising musicians, the Process ensemble.

Two sets of fresh, astonishing music. You should have been there at the concert... but if you couldn't, just listen to it now.

 CLAN - Dur d`ona oregia

Clan are Italian improvising collective. Three young musicians who started playing together couple of years ago and since then gained very poitive feedback from both critics and listeners in their homeland.

These three pieces were recorded especially for AudioTong and we're very proud and happy to share them with you.

 Process - 2

The audio documentation of an improvised session by three Polish and one Hungarian musicians. Bass, saxophones, electric guitar and electronics and the result of this mixture: perfect understanding, cross-border trips of the musicians and free, unlimited passion of playing.

Rafal Mazur, Rafal Drewniany, Michal Dymny and Attila Dora created amazing 30 minutes of improvised music, absolutely worth checking!

 Dague de Misericorde - Naufrageur

Another acoustic release on AudioTong: "Naufrageur" are four short improvisations for violin and clarinet.

The release comes from a French duo Dague De Misericorde and after one listening makes you search the web for more of their works...

Great stuff of minimal repetitive improvisations.

 Rational Diet - The Shameless

Very unusual release as for AudioTong... No electronics and four musicians instead: Rational Diet are a quartet for cello, violin, guitars and bassoon, and they come from Belarus.

Their works we're presenting here are highly energetic, positive and humorous stuff, really worth listening.

Download and enjoy!

ISSO MUSIC

This release comes from Taiwanese sound-artist Pei. She spent a month by the japanese river Isso and recorded a very original material.

The musicians are travellers who live in doju (a practice place for traditional japanese monks) and these recordings are their mostly improvised acoustic drumming, inspired by a beautiful impulse from nature.

This really is great mind-easing music. Sit back and relax as it gives you 30 minutes of calmness and peace.
